i changed my blogskin! again! cuz it was dull ( like chengmei! AHAHA joking joking).
channel 8 dramas are seriously all about drama. it's got so much drama, it's completely ridiculous. and they have actors that say their lines like their bored. for example my mom was watching a replay of this ancient channel 8 drama and the scene takes place at a construction worksite.
since i can't really remember the lines exactly, i'll just improvise. so some uncle, who i'll name Chee Ko Peh (CKP in short), and his son, who's name shall be Bo Bo, came looking for a 'Thai' construction worker called Padangtang or something like that. the reason for the inverted commas is because despite the fact that he's a supposed thai worker, he can speak chinese pretty well.
and there was a lady boss wearing ridiculously business-like cloths in a
construction place and some unknown worker (really bad actor by the way) who's showing her around. the old woman's name will be tai tai and the
bad actor unknown worker shall be Lao Po Bing (LPB in short).
A scene from a ridiculously dramatic drama.CKP: eh! that's him!BoBo: who? who? (turns head from side to side for exaggerated effect)CKP: (walks over to Padang) eh you! you cheat me of my money! gimme back my money! or i'll squeeze you! ( that was actually what the subtitles said... in a scene before this one)Padang: HUH? who are you? i've never seen you before! let me go!BoBo: what about that promise you made Padang?! why are you doing this?!WE'LL SEND YOU BACK TO THAILAND!Padang: no! no! please don't! i'll pay you back your $120! please don't send me back!rachel's note: please luh! if you want to lie about cheating people's money, at least lie all the way! stupid.
after a few dramatic moments, Padang decides to threaten his life by stand on the edge of the building.Padang: stop it! or i'll jump!CKP: jump la jump la! see if i care! you're lying! you're probably too scared!BoBo: (most ironically) no don't jump! we won't send you back there! we swear!CKP: go on! jump! WAIT DON'T JUMP I WANT MY MONEY BACK!at the base of the building...tai tai: hey, what's that up there? (shields eyes and squints. not that she needs to, considering that asian eyes are already squinty)LPB: (monotonously) oh. it is a worker committing suicide.rachel's note: he said it like it happens all the time!
it is so stupid/funny and my mom was completely engrossed with it. but then again, she LOVES drama. we have like plenty of korean drama CDs chucked around the tv. all of them are non-funny (how boring) stories about love decagons.
my sister is
attempting to beat box. she's trying... and i don't think she's having much success.
